Visiting Care

Visiting care is also known as domiciliary care.

Visiting care is a great way to receive quality care within the comfort of your own home. From help with getting up in the mornings to respite care for your usual caregiver, Qualita Healthcare can help you live with more independence and control over your day-to-day life.
We believe in having regular contact with all our carers to ensure any information required is communicated to family or friends. This provides reassurance, particularly to those living further afield.

An assessment will be completed by an experienced member of our team prior to commencement ensuring the service meets the exact needs of each individual. You can choose the time of day, length of visit and frequency of your home care. Whatever your needs, our visiting care service helps your daily routine run smoothly so you are able to remain in your own home. If you are looking to arrange an assessment for yourself or a member of your family then please contact us about our Domiciliary Home care packages.
We will consistently do our best to assign regular carers with each individual. This is beneficial for both the carer and client as it allows a trusting relationship to form.

What is visiting home care?

Visiting care or domiciliary care is when a carer visits your home to provide personal care and support. This might be a regular visit taking anywhere between fifteen minutes to several hours, or it could be longer sits, outings or a tailored package after a hospital treatment or visit.
A visiting carer helps you when you need more support in your own home. Sometimes you may need our assistance with getting up and going to bed, or help with washing and dressing. At other times, you may need support with everyday tasks such as meal preparation, household help, or going shopping.
§ Personal care: bathing, dressing, help with going to the toilet and supervision of medicine.
§ Bedtime and morning routines: help with getting up and getting ready for bed.
§ Food preparation and help at meal-times.
§ Light housework: laundry, cooking, and cleaning.
§ Companionship and social interaction.
§ Social activities: visits to clubs and to see friends.
§ Errands: shopping and collecting prescriptions.

Who will be my carer?

We select our employees very carefully through a rigorous recruitment process designed to safeguard all of our clients. We appreciate that allowing a stranger into your home can be an uncomfortable for some people however, our home care assistants are professional and have the personality and skills required to conduct their duties in a professional manner.
A small team of carers will be trained to understand your care plan and know exactly how you like things done. If any of the carers on your team are not available because of holiday or sickness, Qualita arranges for another trained carer to visit you.
All of our carers complete a comprehensive training course and have an enhanced (CRB) criminal record check. Training takes place within our own company to very high standard and we actively support them to update their skills and training.

After that, your care team is given ongoing support and will use the Qualita system to stay in touch with each other, monitoring your care delivery and providing help when needed, to make sure you get the best care possible.
